Folks, Wearing gloves may help, but this virus is transmitted by air- sneezing, coughing, any breathing expulsion within a 6 feet distance of the infected person has the possibility to infect the people in that range. Don't want to alarm, but people need to be aware. The reason for the social distancing  rule. Also the infected person may not show signs so it is better to be cautious especially for people 70 and older.
