Dear Unit 550 Board Members,
The link for your monthly board meetings is pasted below. I set it up as a recurring meeting, so you can use the same link for every meeting and can actually use it anytime you want (not just on the designated meeting dates). Whoever logs on first will be the host for that session unless you want to assign it to someone else during the session.
I set the AI Companion (for notetaking) to start automatically. I did not set it up to automatically record the session but I can do that if you want.
Let me know if you have any questions. I suggest pasting the link into your calendar as part of your appointment information for each meeting. I can send a calendar invitation for a recurring meeting, including the link, to anyone who provides me with an individual email address.

Hi all,
I did budgets for the Sectional and the Holiday Party so we can make a decision about Arcadia Community Center tonight and move forward.
See attached

Hi all,
Here are the financials we will look at for tonight’s meeting.
Mojo will send out a link before the meeting.
Mojo, we held a vote at the open meeting yesterday and the Board was elected unanimously.
Lisa
Dear Unit 559 Board and new Board members,
We will have an initial meeting for our Board this Monday evening at 7 PM by Zoom. Attached please find the minutes of the last meeting, as well as the agenda for this Monday evening. Miriam, can you get me a financial report for Monday evening?
Mojo, can you send out a link for the meeting on Monday? I have included the addresses of new Board members above.
Many thanks to you all for agreeing to serve!
Lisa
Looks good.

I think I might be missing some rank changes, but I could find all of these.

Our first unit game of March is also our annual membership meeting and election of board members. That's Sunday, March 2. We'll be serving a pizza lunch from Blaze Pizza at noon, hold our meeting and elections, and follow that with bridge. We should be able to acknowledge our 2024 Mini-McKinney and Ace of Clubs winners as well.
Our club was the closest club to the Eaton fire, and many, too many, of our regular players and students lost homes or have been otherwise displaced in the aftermath. It's been a struggle for all of us coping with loss or trying to support friends through their recovery. The attendance at the bridge club seems to be extra high this month, which just affirms the ability of bridge to provide connection, distraction, comfort, and community. It's good to share this time with our bridge playing friends.
The Unit Games have been well attended. Here are winners from January and February:
January 5, 11 tables:
N/S: Gary Moore, Gilbert Stinebaugh
E/W: Robert Shore, Bruce Altshuler
January 19, the Elliott Mazur Open Pairs, 10.5 tables:
N/S: Karmen Armoudjian, Janet Wickersham
E/W: Zachary Vedro, Andy Rooke
February 2, 10 tables:
N/S: Jeanette Deverian, Joan Mesias
E/W: Amr Elghamry, Dominique Moore
Let's catch up on a couple months of rank changes. (I may have missed some!):
January:
Junior Master
Jonathan Penzner
Club Master
Carol Grosz
Sectional Master
Derald Brackman
Leslie Klein
NABC Master
John Barrow
Sapphire Life Master
Jeanette Deverian
Emerald Life Master
Roy Wilson
February:

So I checked out the Jackie Robinson Auditorium, which is the room I believe we should use. Sounds like the largest. It is $48/hour so for 7 hours will be $336 with a refundable security deposit of $254.00, meaning we pay $590.00 now.
I have never seen it and don’t know about the tables and chairs but can make a call there tomorrow. Obviously much less expensive.
Our date is available as of now, as is most of December
Thoughts?
