Like MoJo, I am indifferent. I think that it gives Marie one more thing to do and that could be challenging. If we want to try it, it is a cheap try but I think it will be difficult for Marie to get it set every time and then to enforce it is the other issue. When and if we get a new site, I would be for getting the actual bridge timer or another laptop to run it on the wall the way Mojo does. But who knows if and when that could happen. L.

Hi, Here’s my opinion…. Let’s spend the money and get a “real” timer. Yes, $450 is more expensive, but it does everything a Bridge Timer is supposed to do. I think the biggest two drawbacks are that the less expensive timer would have to be reset after every round and the director would have to ring a bell. Yeah, I know I sent an email suggesting this less expensive timer, but I really would prefer the real thing. Heck, I’ll even donate $50 if that will convince anyone.

Hi Guys, As I read all the comments, my hesitation with Roy’s idea is that if we spend $450.00 and Marie will not enforce the rule and penalize late plays, it’s money spent for nothing. Let’s try the less invasive approach first and see what she is willing to do. Of those who will be at the game, I suggest we all support her and remind others of the time. I will make an announcement to that end before we begin.
