Let’s hear from Fredy. Otherwise we are just spinning our wheels here We have no idea
what his needs are. I understand the need and desire for another club. The owner of it
needs to approach the board We are not going to guess what he needs or wants

and Fredy is interested in opening a new club, but hopefully in the same location.. I am
only suggesting that Fredy would find it easier with a bit of financial help, such as I
suggested. No expense to the unit, either, but a loan for tables, etc would certainly
meet one of the By-Laws goals.
I’ve played bridge more than half my life. The lesser half I wasted.

I no longer am suggesting that the board become involved in the management of a club to
replace the Bridge Center, but I want to remind all of you that one of the main purpose of
the board is to promote bridge, and specifically item C in the bylaws:
C. To promote the development and organization of affiliated clubs within the Unit.
If Fredy can find a way to keep the Bridge Center open, the unit board should strive to
help him. One way to do that is with a zero interest loan to help him with tables,
chairs, etc.
