Besides the Bridge Week Regional in Long Beach, I spent nine days in Chicago at the convention for the American Bridge Teachers Association, and five nice days of bridge play at the North American Bridge Championships. Back at home, we revived the unit Over/Under game after an absence of quite a while. The game is now the Peter Szecsi Memorial Over/Under game, and we had twenty pairs of veteran players with rookie partners. I was pleased to see that everyone seemed able to share the joy of the game with all its foibles. Winners N/S were *Julianne Curry* with *Dennis Semain*. Winners E/W and first overall were *Nava Grutman* with *Robert Shore*. Special thanks to Richard Halverstadt and Kathy Cresto who coordinated the event, produced fliers and publicity, and invited veterans to play. They made it easy to run a smooth game and provide a good experience for our players. Unit Games in August will be held on Sunday, August 6, at the Pasadena Bridge Club, and August 20, at the Arcadia Bridge Center. For both games, doors open at 12:00 noon, and game starts at 12:30 PM.
