Dear Unit556+ bridge players, Unit 556+ is adding Tuesday and Wednesday morning 0-500 (aka 499er) games. They will begin at 10:15 am and the registration fee is $5. Dear Unit 556+ Bridge players and friends, Tomorrow, Sunday, May 30th, we have two games, a limited 499er game at 3:15 and an open IMP game at 3:25. Registration is $5. The BBO outage Tuesday evening, May 25, caused dozens of Virtual Club games (in all stages of completion) to fail. Virtual Clubs and players are of utmost importance to BBO and they pledged to correct the hardware failures and be proactive with backup servers and redundancy. We all hope this never happens again. Continuing our 2/1 series, this next lesson while strictly not part of 2/1 is used by nearly all 2/1 players. It is called “inverted minors”, inverted because a single raise of opener’s minor is a strong bid and a double raise is weak. We will also talk about bypassing diamonds over a one club opening to bid a major. The lesson will be Wednesday at 12:15pm. Cost is $5.
