I'll keep this one brief! One last reminder ...

And don't forget, we have an email list for students interested in
getting together for social bridge games. The group has been active and
holding games most weeks.
If you'd like to be on the Social list, drop me a note, or sign yourself

Great news! I'm offering Bridge III "Defense in the 21st Century":
Thursday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
First class: June 21 (two weeks from today)
Cost $85, plus $15 for the work book ($100 total)
Class will run for eight Thursday evenings, skipping the Thursday of
July 19. (Four, skip, four)
This class is open to ALL BRIDGE PLAYERS. If you play bridge, you're
welcome in this class. There are no other prerequisites.
This course is a continuation in the ACBL's "Bridge in the 21st Century"
program; you'll find the lesson format familiar. Besides the focus on
defense, each lesson will include some review of bidding and
play-of-the-hand tips for the declarer. This class has a new set of
special cards to deal and play hands relevant to the lesson.
The location is on the beautiful campus of Oneonta Congregational Church:
1515 Garfield Avenue
South Pasadena, CA 91030
The "Forum" room
Plenty of parking on the site
Here is the lesson plan:
Lesson 1 – Opening Leads against Notrump Contracts
Lesson 2 – Opening Leads against Suit Contracts
Lesson 3 – Third-Hand Play
Lesson 4 – Second-Hand Play
Lesson 5 – Defensive Signals
Lesson 6 – Developing Defensive Tricks
Lesson 7 – Interfering with Declarer
Lesson 8 – Making a Plan
IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND, I would appreciate hearing from you. There's no
need to preregister; please bring the class fee to the first class. I
would like to get an idea of who will be coming.
There is a minimum number of students I will need to make the class
viable, so if I don't have enough, only the first class will be held.
Best regards,
Mojo
