One way to see sectional fliers is to visit https://acbl.org, menu to Find a Tournament, select Sectional for tournament type, and click Info for a few. On the info page there's usually a "View Tournament Flier" link. Friends, John Waken subsidized our sectional for about 30 years with $1000 each year. After about 20 years, the unit board voted to name our sectional the John Waken Sectional in perpetuity. I have no idea if records were kept, nor if anyone else remembers that, but most likely if this becomes an issue there are members who can recall it, and I am sure that John himself probably remembers it. I would suggest that this not be changed… at least until John is gone. However, the unit board is certainly free to rescind this honor, and John might not mind.
