Most of the District 23 board meeting revolved around whether and how to hold the Grand National Teams as a district-only tournament held online. So far ACBL has denied a sanction for the event. Nothing final was decided, as I recall, but the consensus seemed to be that the event would be held only for the lower two flights (0-500 and 0-2500), and there was more research to be done on how and if to hold the event.

Aside from that, of course the summer regional is canceled, and the district's deposit is advanced to next year.

I don't recall anything else of much substance discussed. The District 25 letter was discussed briefly with no meaningful action to be taken.

I'm not going to add my own take on the letter.

Good Morning Board Members and Associates,

Last night the district board met. Kevin Lane did not attend because he was in a Board of Directors’ meeting. We discussed several matters, but since we were concerned as to whether or not to hold our own meeting regarding this matter, I wanted to get back to you what was discussed. Before this meeting, Georgia Heth, President of the Board of Directors, sent out a letter addressing the concerns and misinformation put for in the letter from Jack Mahoney, President of District 25. We concluded that the ACBL is doing all that it can to survive in this crisis. If any of you have not seen the letter and would like to, let me know and I will forward it to you. Regarding the other matters, I’ll let our unit reps relay them to you.
