Jan,
The Door of Hope takes in HOMELESS families and counsels, trains  and helps them reestablish a life in our community.
They’ve helped over 900 families over the last 20 years.
In an undisclosed facility, they also provide shelter and assistance to abused women with children.

It does not come out of our treasury.  It’s part of a charitble fund that ACBL offers.  We come up once every four years, and we need a quarum quicklky or we will miss our chance.  Thanks.

Is this something our unit does annually? Our treasure only has $8,000 per this week's meeting so that is huge amount. Rosemary

Good Afternoon, Friends,

I just got a call from Kevin Lane wanting to award $5,000.00 to be given on behalf of our unit to a charity in our area.  Door of Hope has been suggested.  It servives needy families in Pasadena and surrounding areas with food and other essential necessities.  If you approve, please let me know immediately.  He needs to submit our request by tomorrow.
