I think this is where we're headed. Kicking it around a little
more won't hurt. When we pretty much agree, I'll send it to Greg
Coles and Rick Beye at ACBL for implementation.
----------------------------------------------------
Some of this plan has been in place for a few weeks and it's
success is why it being expanded. The plan pertains to six units
within District 23. In general these units have few clubs, have no
online presence, and little hope getting such.
Unit 556+ club: Since the vast majority of players in 556 play at
all four club, no pooling was necessary. The Glendale club is the
only club in Unit 553 has pooled with 556. The Baja Gold Coast
club (Unit 207) in Mexico was started by one of our members, they
pooled with Unit 556 also. This is a Master/Servant pooling as
Unit 556+ runs all the games.
Units 562 and 551 have only one or two small clubs. Unit 559 has
two large clubs but neither has created an virtual club, nor are
they likely to do so.
So a new virtual only club is being created for these three units,
the PasadenPomonaDowneyVBC. Yes say that three times quickly.
Morris Jones has started the paperwork and I'll run the first
games. This is also a Master/Servant pooling.
None of the clubs in the six mentioned units host a limited game.
So to offer a limited game with the hopes of more than one or two
tables, a second virtual only club has been created. It is the
D23club. This club will run only limited games. It is currently
running 0-500 pairs on Sunday, with hopes expanding to teams on
Saturday.
Both the new PPDVBC and Unit 556+ will pool with the D23Club. If
done right D23Club will have everybody under 500mp in those six
units. These three clubs should have a peer to peer pooling.
Once the D23Club is up and running I will delete all the extra
people we added to Unit 556+ to run the first few limited games.

When The new clubs get their numbers, I'll ask every club manager
to email
Rick.Beye@acbl.org with their club number and permission.
This note is also my explanation to ACBL to get them to bend a few
rules.
