I found this message in the moderation queue for the mailing list.
It came from 6263409575@vzwpix.com which I presume is Roy Wilson's
cell phone.
So Roy must have sent it using his SMS text message app. Which
Verizon attempted to convert into an email, with the text of the
message attached to the email.
Since it didn't arrive from a recognized email address, I lost track
of it 'til just now.
Here's the message:
Hi,
First, my thanks to all of you who continue to serve on our unit
board.
And next, as your webmaster, I would like to continue to be
included in board communications so I can make any announcements
you consider worthy of announcement. Of course, please tell me,
too, if something is still too early to announce. I am very happy
to help in anyway I can.
I know you will be electing officers soon, and that's something I
would like to announce, so let me know as soon as you can.
I have a suggestion for the new board to consider:
Long ago, when we had about 800 members, it was very easy to get
12 players willing to serve on the board, but now we are down to
357 members and every month it drops again.
I suggest that the board amend the bylaws and define a full board
as eight members, which is the current membership.
Further, although the Arcadia Bridge Center has a separate website
which I created, Diane seldom asks for any changes. Our new club
in Pasadena has its own website and announcements are made there,
but if it would help, I would be happy to include announcements on
the unit site as well.
(Perhaps the best way to do that, Mojo, would be for you to create
a page on your club website and then we put a link on the unit
page.)
