Re: Fwd: contract for January 9, 2022

Hi Jan, I looked at the contract. How many tables would that room accomodate? I see they have a kitchen we could use as well. It will probably be easier to cater something than try and prepare a meal there. Are we thinking about serving liquor, and then needing a liquor license? It says that they rent to non-profits; are we considered a non-profit organization? Are you sure that they will rent to us? It doesn’t look like they allow private parties or weddings, etc. in that space. Just wondering about the above. If we’re interested, thy want a signed contract in 10 days. I believe we can get the full ballroom for $450.00 and a 6 hour limit. We would not be able to hold 2 games, but it would provide a place for a nice party. Please look it over, read the FINE PRINT and let me know what you think. Marianne got back to me again and is still checking San Gabriel Country Club. > >> Begin forwarded message: >> >> From: Pat Lukas <PLUKAS(a)arcadiaca.gov> >> Subject: contract for January 9, 2022 >> Date: July 20, 2021 at 9:19:45 AM PDT >> To: "'wickershamjanet(a)gmail.com'" <wickershamjanet(a)gmail.com> >> > > <SKMBT_55221062912360.pdf> > > _______________________________________________ > Unit559board mailing list -- unit559board(a)bridgemojo.com > To unsubscribe send an email to unit559board-leave(a)bridgemojo.com

I just checked with our insurance carrier about the 1 million dollar liability coverage. Presuming that there would be alcohol served, I was told that our coverage does not include this. We would have to get a separate 1-day policy at a cost of $316. -----Original Message----- From: janet wickersham <wickershamjanet(a)gmail.com> To: Unit 559 board discussion list <unit559board(a)bridgemojo.com> Sent: Tue, Jul 20, 2021 3:07 pm Subject: [Unit559board] Fwd: contract for January 9, 2022 Hi Gang, I called Arcadia Center and January 9, 2022 IS available. How the next game goes and maybe using something we don’t have to invest in. 2. Keep investigating products and compare costs. This was the first game after over a year in a different venue with lots of unknowns, and distractions. I think we will be better prepared and know what needs to be stepped up on. Until we know what’s around the corner I hate to see a $500 bite out of the treasury right now. Mary

TIMER AND BELL
by janet wickersham 29 Jun '21

29 Jun '21

Hi Friends, Some of you have weighed in on purchasing the timer and the bell from the email Roy sent yesterday. Five of us are in favor, and I would like to hear from the rest of you. If we have a majority, I will call Marie and suggest she purchase the timer and bell and Miriam will reimburse her on the 11th. Thanks so much. Your input is always appreciated.
