[Sunday499] 2/1 classes starting Wed April 28th at 12:15 pm

Hello Unit556+ players and friends, Bob McBroom is continuing lessons approximately every other Wednesday at 12:15 pm. For tomorrow’s lesson he will begin exploring the 2/1 Game Force system. Many of you probably already have partners familiar with this system. It is very popular and used by most (but not all) advanced players, so even if you choose not to use it I believe it will be helpful to learn what it is all about. Tomorrow he will cover the basics of the system (what constitutes a game forcing 2/1 bid) as well as the forcing 1NT response to opener’s major. These components are key to the system. Other pieces which are not part of the system but which nearly all 2/1 users use are inverted minors, Jacoby 2NT response to 1 of a major, and weak jump shifts. He will cover those in later lessons.
