[Newcomers] Pasadena Newcomer game tonight 7:15

Hi all! Wednesday night is our regular 7:15 Newcomer duplicate game on BBO. I already have several pairs signed up to play. Let me know if you'd like a seat as well! I'll update this list later today with the players for tonight. We have a few new list members who signed up to get notifications about the Saturday morning mini-lesson. This list serves double-duty for that and these games, so I'll take a moment to explain: Twice a week on Bridge Base Online we have a short duplicate bridge game for newcomers: * Saturday at 12:20 * Wednesday at 7:15 We play 12 hands, with eight minutes on the clock for each hand. The whole game is about 90 minutes. To join the game, you'll need an account on Bridge Base Online <https://www.bridgebase.com/> (BBO), a few dollars in your BB$ account, and (preferably) and ACBL player number (free with a guest membership <https://bridgemojo.com/acbl-guest-memberships>). Each game has a $5 "card fee." The PPDVBC web page has information on "How to find the games <https://bridgemojo.com/ppdvbc#find>" -- use the section that starts "If you're a visiting player ...." After the Wednesday evening game, we gather on Zoom to have a few good laughs about the hands and the cards. I'll offer some advice for bidding and play. There's usually wine involved (at least on my side of the camera).
