Newcomer bridge game on tap.
For the mini lesson, I'm pivoting to defender play, and for the next few
lessons I'll talk about opening leads, starting with leading partner's
suit against a notrump contract.

starting Monday afternoon at 1:45. We're running for three weeks,

* Click on *Competitive*
* Click on *All Tournaments*
* Click on the *Search *field in the upper right
* Type in "Pasa"
* Click on "Newcomers Pasadena Pomona Downey"
* From the Register dialog, click on the *Partner *field
* Type your partner's BBO ID
* Click "Invite"
* Your partner (who must be online) will get a pop-up invitation to play
* Watch for error messages in little yellow boxes in the lower right

bridge game!

start promptly at 7:15. We'll play 12 hands for about 90 minutes, and
meet on Zoom after the game to go over hands. We play the same hands as
the "Open Pairs" game in the next room. :)

Here's a tip:
It looks like we'll have 4-1/2 tables again tonight, which is a fine
game. It does mean we have two empty chairs, that I will fill with robots.
The robots are there to play bridge against /if you want to/. If not,
you're perfectly welcome to take the round as a break round, and pick up
with the next team in about 16 minutes. That is, you don't have to play
against them! :)
