In-person and
online bridge
It's been a weird up-and-down year, but
I have my first in-person bridge classes on the
calendar, and possibly four cruises in 2022.
I'm also putting together a schedule
for online classes both for beginners and advancing
players. Let me know
what you'd like to attend!
And there's some cool personal news at
the bottom. :)
Panama Canal cruise
from San Diego
I'm planning to join Karol and Guy Monroe for a luxury
cruise from San Diego to Miami, through the Panama Canal,
for 16 nights (!) departing January 19, 2022. The bridge
program has a Sectional Tournament sanction, with great
bridge games and lessons on sea days.
This is a great way to get away, enjoy some focused
bridge time, and earn some silver points toward
your Life Master award! I'll be there directing games and
helping out with bridge classes.
Visit
here to learn more about the cruise and the bridge
program.
While you're there, check out the Spring cruise to Barcelona
and Fall LA
Round Trip.
Learn to play
bridge in person
On Wednesday evenings starting
September 15, I'll be offering Bridge - Introduction,
through PCC Extension. Classes will meet at Arcadia High
School.
Back-to-back with BB1, I'll offer Bridge
- Popular Conventions, on the same schedule,
starting October 20.
Read all about the courses on my web
site: Fall 2021 Learn
to play in-person.
Add to your bridge
skills online
I have lots of time slots to add
additional online classes, using all the great tech I have
available for teaching bridge. Drop me a note and let me
know what classes would interest you!
Here are some suggested classes that I could schedule:
- 2 over 1 Game Forcing
- Improving Your Judgment - Doubles
- Improving Your Judgment - Opening
the Bidding
- Competitive Bidding
- Play of the Hand
- Defense
I'll send another note in the next few
weeks with information about continuing bridge classes
and events for this fall. (Unit 556 is working with me
for an ongoing bridge class for their members.)
Congratulations to me
This month I interviewed for the
prestigious Master Teacher designation awarded by
the American Bridge Teachers
Association, and managed to earn the title!
I've also agreed to join their officers as Recording
Secretary.
Please let me know if
you're no longer interested in bridge class news from me!
I'll update my mailing list.
