Bridge events starting this week

I'm planning to wrap up online bridge classes for this season with a class starting tomorrow on Play of the Hand for eight weeks. I still have a few seats available for that class — if you're interested let me know quickly! (If you'd like to join mid-series, you're welcome as well. Drop me a note.)

I'm also inviting everyone to a free social duplicate bridge game on Tuesday, March 23. We'll hold games on the following four Tuesdays as well, for $9/game or $30 for all four.

Free Social  Bridge Game this Tuesday Evening

I'm offering five relaxed bridge games on Tuesday evenings, 7:00-9:15, using the remarkable RealBridge platform from the UK. Here we play with full audio and video of our table mates. It's the closest thing that I've seen to a real bridge game at home with friends!

Our expected players are all newer players and students from my classes this year. You should see lots of familiar faces. This is not specifically a supervised play game, but I hope to have one or two experienced players who can help with bridge decisions. (If that would be you, drop me a note!)

Since RealBridge is an unfamiliar platform, I want to give everyone an opportunity to try it out free on the first Tuesday evening. Reservations are still required, so drop me a note if you'd like to join the game!

After each game, we'll gather on Zoom to discuss bidding and play. We can compare with the other tables in the game, and I'll offer my perspective on many of the hands. The deals will be random shuffles, so even I don't know what to expect!

Play of the Hand starts Sunday

This is an online, interactive course using Zoom and a virtual bridge table from Shark Bridge. The target audience is brand new bridge players, but even players with significant experience will find valuable tools for their declarer play.

• Eight Sunday afternoons, March 21 through May 9, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
• $150 for the full eight week course ($25 individual lessons)
