Good morning Board, I wanted to update you on a few items and se if you think we need a meeting to discuss these things or if we can basically vote online. 1. Our Sectional for August 9-10 is off. Orange County applied for the same weekend and got their ducks in order faster than we did and they are refusing to allow us to have ours the same weekend. So Mojo has asked for the extra room in his club for the weekend of August 23-24 and we would like to move our Sectional there. I will be applying to the acbl for the sanction today. So what say you all about this move? There are no other dates at Arcadia through the end of the year for a weekend. 2. The Long Beach Regional is the first week of July and many of us will be playing. MoJo has asked that we do not have a unit game on the first Sunday, which is July 6th, as it is the last day of the Regional. Does anyone have any issue with this? Her is a possible alternative: Move the unit games in July only to the 13th and the 27th. I checked the tournament calendar and there is a sectional ending in Mountain View on July 13th. This change would mean that there would be back to back Unit Games on July 27th and August 3rd.. Since we represent the whole unit I think It would be reasonable to move the July and August unit games to the 2nd and 4th Sundays since our sectional in August falls on the 4th Sunday. Not everyone will be playing in Long Beach and this way they can still play 2xs out of the month. The sectional at Mojo's sounds like a great idea.
