Yesterday Jan raised the possibility of holding the March 12 Unit Game at the Pasadena Bridge Club. It would be the annual meeting, officer elections, and a pizza party. Having Blaze Pizza downstairs makes it kind of easy to bring in hot fresh pizza. If this is something to be discussed, I need it to be considered quickly. I have to write the unit column for the Bridge News today. Not that many people read that, but it's certainly part of getting the word out. Although the unit owes Diane a great deal of loyalty, we also have to support any club in our unit without favoritism, so my vote is to give each club one of the two unit games. I also would like to hear board member's comments on having a unit game every Sunday, instead of just twice a month. Two weeks ago I heard two complaints about the food, and yesterday three players told me the food was "Not up par." Any time you get five complaints it’s almost certain that a lot more people feel the same way. Perhaps we need another discussion about this? Part of the agenda at this meeting should be the food situation. If, as Roy says, people are complaining, what do we as a Board want to do about it? If anything…Many of us only have a few weeks left on the Board so I think we should take care of this now before the new Board comes in.

I'm sorry to hear that people are complaining about the food. I haven't head any complaints about the food otherwise. Ruby set a very high standard. I think that there is an adjustment period. I also feel the food that was provided by the board shouldn't be used by some people to provide their dinner as well as I have seen. Re: more unit games is ok by me. Greetings, Board, I do not plan to hold a board meeting before the election party. If Mojo is willing to order the pizza, that’s great. Otherwise, we can delegate it to someone else. We will announce the new board, thank the old board, and hand out the awards. It will be up to the new board to address these other matters.

Dear Board, I will not be present on Sunday for the election of the Board, but know that I am willing to stay on the Board if it is not a prerequisite to bring food to Unit games.
