Dear Unit 556+ bridge players, Open Pairs tonight Tuesday, March 16th, at 6:15 PM. Who wants to play? Who needs a partner? Below is a tentative list of players. Send me any corrections, additions, or if you want a partner. *Intermediate Lesson Wednesday 12:15pm - Responding to 1NT with a major or the majors* Do you think you understand how to use Stayman and Jacoby transfers over partner’s 1NT? Think again. There are actually many, many different possibilities. I’ve counted 21 different hand types, but there are many more, including slam tries in a minor after Stayman, but this lesson will focus on the majors. We will go quickly through the basics and focus on the more obscure bidding sequences. If we were in the clubs there would be a lot of memorization, but online you can keep a cheat sheet handy (which I will provide) to help you remember the bids.
