Hi all! I hope you had a great holiday. I spent a couple of days in Reno at the Mid-Winter Regional bridge tournament. I didn't win anything special, but had a great time. Bridge I is ready for sign-up now at PCC Extension. Here's the (shortened) link for on-line registration: http://goo.gl/blWZhu This is the starting point for new bridge players, but it's also an excellent way to get a handle on the fundamentals of the Standard American bidding system. I use the ACBL's "Bridge in the 21st Century" curriculum, with the text book "Bidding in the 21st Century." The class runs for eight sessions, beginning January 15, on Wednesday evenings 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The classes are held at Arcadia High School, and cost $95 plus $15 for the book (unless you already have it). Bridge II is also available for sign-up and starts immediately after Bridge I on March 19. I'll send another note before then.
